A flurry of posts

From the looks of Dan's and Yaniv's expression texturing has been a nightmare. And then Dan murdered his external, and they had to do it again. Fun.

Going to be assisting Dan in renering the scene and then hopefully get my part of the 2d stuff out of the way by today. Pray! Please Satan lend me your rendering power.

Holiday

Holiday checklist:

Monday

Traditional Stuff

I've already decided to do the animation project next term, I cant really hide that I'm so glad its an individual project. Not that I care for working alone or in a group, Im just intrested in depending on my own 3d stuff and not anybody elses for a while. My 3d skills (along with others I hope) arent exactly reliable, so better improve fast and then work in a team when your fully aware of what you can contribute. So I cant point the finger at someone when things go wrong next term, uh my dog ate my computer!

Project Progress

This has to be said.

The project has almost made it to the finish line! : )
However my contribution to it hasnt been all that impressive, of course thats my problem.
Best thing about teamwork seems to be that you get the help of others who are more skilled, worst is lacking that skill (for me anyway). I havent been a slacker, its just become pretty clear to me that I need really need to improve on my 3d during the holdidays. About all I have done well has been modelling my part of the scenes (which I will post later), I havent really got any 3d animation or rendering skills. So I have ended producing lets say the pre-production stuff (all being 2d of course).

I guess it can be laughed at later, the project was based the style of John Virtue's black and white painting of London. Black and white, I thought how hard can it be, turns out to be what you would expect form a normal project aiming for realism, well at least for my group. Its certainly helped keep us on our toes, for my current skill level in 3d there are no shortcuts in a black and white environment.
